Im sorry, this can be classed as pixel art. But this just looks as if it was drawn with the pencil tool and just dragged instead of being placed pixel by pixel. I would reccomend doing them again, and placing the pixels one by one.

Idioms it's not that dragging the pencil is not allowed.  That's a little silly, it's just that the overall look of these is sketchy and unrefined.

What would benefit you most would be getting some good practice of observational drawing over the next few weeks.  And once you can put down an object on paper the way it actually looks, rather than how you think it should look, then you'll be able to translate it into pixel and then you should look into tutorials on pixel art techniques.  Because when I look at these I don't think 'blargh he didn't anti alias properly!'  I think 'wow this guy needs to practice facial proportions'

The basic skills in rendering are a must if you're starting a new medium..

REAL helpful there, newb killer, real helpful.

Zebbe, you've got a good effort there. But you'll need to refine your skills. Try doing the basics first, as leel said. Number 4 looks better because the lines aren't so thick.

Just remember one thing: "It's only a failure if you don't learn from it."

Keep trying and good luck.

Ok, start with something simple, rather than a random lump with random shading.

Try to make a sphere, a cube and a cylinder.  And make sure you keep your lines clean.

Tips: Save as an .PNG-file. ^^

You're getting better.

Try to make someting easy, like a sylinder or something, as leel said. ^^

Not bad, there's definite improvement.

The face is off by one pixel. I mean the body is 6 pixels wide, while the face is 5. And are those supposed to be hands? Guns? Or gloves?

Number 6 is what most would call pixel art, and I think it's your best yet.  It's great seeing your progressing. Keep 'em coming! And a tip: start with a small canvas and work your way larger. With a smaller area to work in, you have to think more about placing your individual pixels to create a final work. Once you get the techniques down small-scale, start expanding.
