In honour of the PJ mods.
Very heavily referenced from Lemuel Francis Abbott's portrait of Rear Admiral Sir Horatio Nelson. http://www.xiamenoilpainting.com/htmlimg/image-00161.htm What the hell! The link won't take! At this point I'd like some suggestions on making the face look more like an arse. Which at the moment it doesn't. Edited by surt - 21 November 2007 at 1:21am |

i like the way that your shading created a "cruched" look to the rim of the "hat??" but i think the overall coat's edges and pieces may need more contrast, unless ur trying to acheive the mirror image of the ref pic, in which case id leave it..Also i think that the brightness of the shoulder "Pads???" kind of grabs your attention and makes it harder to see the actual bits and pockets of the coat "Rear Admiral" is wearing...but i already assume you knew all that..:P
And the arse...hmm...well i think that a but tends to crease the skin at the middle a bit more that how you've drawn it, the only ting i could say without refing butt pictures on google in my school library computer is to just try and extend the butt crack a bit and see if you prefer it...and ref pics too...look at lots of ref pics...
But other than that, it looks very promising :D keep it up, shame that ur topic got slapped down here like all mine...and no one saw it, amidst the dust of new threads...
