Happy to! Sorry, I wanted to make sure they weren't placeholders or anything before crittacking.

Not a huge difference. I didn't mess with the color identities much at all. The main things to note are higher contrast and achieving more of your value range by shifting hue in addition to brightness. And of course, lower saturation.

Also, the palette was really messy; you had several colors that were used for only a handful of pixels. Very wasteful. I reduced the color count by 10 without even making a concentrated effort to optimize. Although it should be said that some were eliminated by mixing the hair and leotard ramps.

Hatch, maybe you could suggest colors? =)

Mattpk, this is indeed 100% pixeled. The drawing isn't though, do you mean the girl sleeping?

Are those your final colors? If so, I would revisit them. Nuclear saturation =

EDIT: I really hope you finish it this time

I was talking about those "oranges". They look more realiistic now. That bit of hair is more of a test, I'll refine it/try and make it look better.

Anymore CC on the drawing?

Wait, what? XD

I think the hair looks good. :) Don't do every wave super shiny or else it looks bad, but... I like it so far. *shrugs*

I think the thing BluWriter noticed is that the hair is shown growing out of her head on the part, but then doesn't seem to be attached to her skull anywhere else.  You can see the curve of her actual skull under the higher curve of her hair, where you would expect to have a hairline because of the location of the part.

Did that make sense? xD

Wow, thanks, how kind of you!
XD

Thats called a forehead, most people have em.
Also, it's called gravity, and shagging lol.

I could edit her hair line a bit, but not by much.

You really think that patch looks good? I felt it looked too jaggy.

I love that patch of hair. :D I hope you're going to shade the rest of the hair more, as well...

Her chest looks like it's popping out too much, I think. XD Like her breasts are not real/oranges o_9;
The outline on her ear looks a bit off just because most the rest of her skin outline is thick.

And...just noticed this... Her hair looks like a wig =x On the right, where it goes up, her hairline is just *gone*. That coupled with the popping chest almost makes her look like *him*, crossdressing. ^^;

Did I mention that I like your colors? :D

Hehe. :D

I'd either shade some with that darker color of her skin or dither it in or out with the second color.

As a random note, make sure her eyebrows and eyelashes match her hair color!

The contrast between the last color and the color before that on her outfit seems too high. Either add another color to make it look latex-y or less contrast.

For anything with the right arm, I'd make the upper part of the arm a little longer and the lower part of the arm a little shorter.

I'm not sure if I'll change the pose of that arm... I'll try and see what it would look like though. One reason is it's helping her balence a bit, as you can see one leg is forward so it pulls her body that way, if she puts her arm too far forward then it would shift her weight.

Good job with the hand/arm on top (her left). If my hips were that big, that's where my hand would lay.  I tried the pose out, though, and it seems a bit uncomfortable for the left hand. I suggest putting it hanging down by her stomach if you can. If not, then don't bother, it looks great, and it was uncomfortable for *me*, not your girl. ;P

I would make her new hand a bit longer/generally bigger, though. But it looks awesome all around.

What can I say, it's an odd angle!

I understand why the arm is bothersom but I lay like that and feel fine *shrug*
Any suggestions for posing of it?
I'm going to leave the BG out for now.

Makes sence, I shouldn't have so many sparkles

It's looking nice   The view of the water seems a little more downward than the rest of the picture which is more of a side view (though right now it's kind of sketchy, so it might just be me).  I suggest taking out a few of the sparkles, and so make them more special when they do appear (personal preference).

The ear looks MUCH better, but it's too far forward and at a sort of odd angle.  I did a rough redline edit, pardon the sloppiness as my mouse doesn't want to cooperate right now. (It's almost a decade old, and it shows.)

Also, I know from personal experience that the position of the arm she's lying on is extremely uncomfortable, besides looking a bit awkward.  I was going to suggest an alternate pose but then I remembered how much I fail at poses.

Yes if anyone wants to, feel free to edit!

Now, don't mind the dramatic edit I have here, I'm willing to edit the lines of her still... also some crits/suggestions (mostly please) for the BG?

The ear looks odd, and I can't figure out how you're attempting to do it.  Are we looking at the back of the ear or the inside?  Is it at the natural resting position or is it folded down slightly?  The upper edge of the ear needs to connect to the head at a higher position than the lower edge, and both connections or at least edges would be visible in that position.  Would you mind if I made a small edit to clarify what I'm trying to say?

The only thing that seems a bit off in this so far is the ear. Animals that have triangular ears have them anchored near the top of the head rather than out the sides as humans do. It will be hard to find a medium.

Beside from the right arm and hand, the anatomy looks nice in my opinion. (the fingers on the hand look to short, and her right arm seems to thin in some places and to short)...

Heh, I am indeed exaggerating the curves, finally someone realized from the beginning!

Do you think you could help a bit to give me an idea of the anatomy? (where suggested for change) I'm pretty good with anatomy but after working on something for so long it's like you lose your mind or something XD

I have some links for art which has this type of anatomy, but I can't get deviantart to work, have no idea why lol.

I will work on it, thank you!

Edit- Worked finally! http://kesame.deviantart.com/ has allot of the anatomy style I was trying to go for, also http://klar.deviantart.com/ has works that give that long/thin anatomy, with an animal twist as well at times.

That's pretty freaking well sketched with a mouse.
I would tell you to just get a tablet and to not torture yourself like this but i guess you've already considered that and for some reason can't do it so i wont mention it... :P

Leg gets too thin at knee and too curvy afterwards. Elbow looks too far down the upper arm (even with the perspective) and the arm generally seems too thin to me. Since you're overexaggerating the curves of the body i'd try to avoid making the limbs too thin.

Good luck mousing it.

Ok so I'm trying to get better at sketching with a mouse, so here is a project I'm working on to do so.

Yes, a big puffy tail

[Edit]

Finally working on this again, stopped because I started to get annoyed with it.

CC please!
