I finally got my Bamboo 4x6 (over a month late) and with the little I've used it so far I find it's much more manageable for pixelling and general pointing device use than my awkward old Intuos2 12x12.

Only problem is that the windows version of the Gimp goes screwy with it and the fixes for the Gimp's general tablet screwyness don't seem to work. Any Bamboo users had any success getting gimp to work nicely with theirs?

           RAWR!

Just me blowing off some steam. I'm kinda supposed to be doing this banner to show that old school hand pixelled banners are just as good as those newfangled pre-rendered Photoshopped ones. This is really one of those "put up, or shut up" kinda moments. Thing is... I'm completely not in the mood to be working on anything right now. I don't feel inspired in the least bit. And I've got until the end of Sunday to come up with something, same as the weekly challenge here at PJ, which I haven't started either.

Blasted procrastination...

So, question peeps: How do you get in the mood when you're not in the mood?

I could try and force something that isn't there, and I'm pretty sure I'll end up making crappy crap crap. I really hate all these creative/mental blocks.

It's like a crossword puzzle, except it makes people think they're smarter because it involves numbers.

i wish my local newspaper would get rid of their sudoku/kakuro (more like a number crossword puzzle than sudoku) and have picross puzzles instead.

also the chatterbox is for faggots

You know, I find it funny how the off topic topic and the chatterbox are seeing more action than the IRC. Which, in my opinion, seems like the better option. Every time I pop onto the IRC, there I see the same 4 people... dead as always, while the chatterbox is brimming with activity. Go figure.

its ok for me to reply immediately, but than people have to start talking! I have had a few nice conversations with people who have been there like 1 time to just have a conversation with me and then never come back. Sometimes one of the 'seniors' joins the conversation and it becomes a nice place to be, but mostly the IRC is boring.

I think IRC is a good idea in theory, but in action, not all people have massive blocks of time they can spend idling, even if it's a BG process.

EDIT: Inadvertent double negative.

I once have seen one of those things!
it was with a computer that had 2 floppy drives, one floppy with the driver and one with the program you wanted to run..
and that on a hugish thing.
small floppys are awesome, I still used them untill I got my mp3 stick (thats 2 years ago)

besides some issues regarding headaches and other minor problems when i take a shower... but nothing that a bit of tape andcare wouldn't fix.
