On the feet i think it gets too dark lighten it up just a tad bit

Hmm.. I don't now if two colors for the shadow is enough but it sorda makes it look clean. :/

Actually, you only need 1. Just cover more area with shadow. And up the contrast a bit.

the lighting needs to be larger. I always like using dark grey for black and use the blackest shade of black for shading. also it looks close up like the imag wasn't made with just the magnifying tool, the pencil and the plain fill tool.

since you're already tracing the image, just stick to the original shading WITHOUT using gradients or brushes.

Any reason for the insane amount of colors?

They're all pretty low contrast and that just looks icky.   Make it cleaner like the feet shading.  Except higher contrast.
