Current:

I'm doing a floating mage tower, possibly a complex, and need c+c. I had a version without the island but it was not accepted.

The dirt having no detail is me not skipping ahead to it while I should be working on other parts.

Would look cool if you 'rooted' the base of the tower to the grass.
Also, try creating a colour that sits between the tower and grass hues and then use it as your shadow colour at the base of the tower.
If you're going to put two contasting colours together you'll always find a certain amount of the colour is passed between the different surfaces.

This would also look nice with a long shadow.

Good work so far though, the tower brick work is very nice.

I don't think that's necessarily what he had in mind. You don't have to put so much grass on it. XD

Starting to look a good
The thickness of the foliage growing up the tower is good. Maybe start to fade it out as it gets higher up the tower walls. You can do this by introducing gaps in the foliage which expose the wall beneath. Nearing the top you could show the individual vines as they claw at the wall.

I think the thing that's off about this is the perspective. The island seems at a different perspective than the tower. Does anyone else get this feeling?

Your right abouth that, but That's last. and I think I'm going to redo the foliage going up, I thought it was too thick too. I'm also going to have some stone roots to give it an arcane look. I only have 28 minutes at the moment so I'll see what I can do. And yes the gaps of the foliage are a good idea. 27 minutes now... Actually the roots are probably beyond my current skill

The perspective is not necessarity off, the issue is more that we assume that the landscape is flat where this image would suggest that the island is an semi-elliptical plug cut out of a sloping hill.

Umm, yah that was exactly what I was thinking (not) . Makes sense though. Heres the update, took 15 minutes:

Far better in my opinion, as well as some pallette editing. also need to edit grass some

EDIT:
