Now I understand this is not the most friendly of palettes but you have to experiment with them colors. Remember life has no outlines, so mess with yours.

A little play with layout always talks back. Your scene is lost in a single plane. Find depth.

I think I'm done with messing with it, barring any crits. I learned quite a bit, i think, and the idea of working with a preset or limited palette scares me a lot less now... but certain parts have me just about ready to go off and cry in the corner. xD' I may try messing with them later (most especially the darker golden areas - cape.) but i'm just out of energy and will and ideas on how to fix it at the moment. -takes a break-

MuTiX: the lighting on that, and the detail is fantastic. Glowing monstrarr. :]

that was really satisfying to work on!

here's the caption:

What causes someone to become barbaric? For this man, it is the slaughter of his loved ones; his family, his friends, his life. Is he out for revenge? Or has he already avenged his loved ones? Whichever the case, his path was already set.

this was the first time i've ever done anything of this size so i'd love to have some c+c, thanks! =D

You go to the gallery.
Login and go to your profile.
Hit submit art.
Then add this on the first slot
answer the question, description, etc.
CHECK the weekly chalenge box
submit.

If you're talking about the midnight deadline, it's in California time (USA). You still have about 7 hours to finish it. Just check the giant clock on the front page.

:p *slaps jalonso* don't laugh at me lol i know u're head honcho up in this bitch so heh. ok i submitted or whatever, i hope i'm not late, no time for background and no time for final touches of antialiasing, i think it was good for a first attempt though :

sh*t!! i forgot to check the challlenge box thing. Fixed now. Possible to delete former art? or i'm stuck with 2 of the same images

Just go to "Edit Details" and down to that delete button.

Also, boo, hiss, grrr.... didn't finish my entry in time. Restarted like 15 times. X_X
