I'm working on an indie mini-mmorpg playable through a web browser. The game features a character creation screen allowing players to customize their character. The project is currently in closed beta and a dev diary can be found here: http://over00.blogspot.com. Release is expected for summer.

All characters are composed of 5 layers (body, face, suit, hair, hat) that players can mix to create customized avatars. Each layers have 4 directions (up, right, down, left)

All layers must be 162x288 pixels, so each animation step must be contained in a 54x72 pixels frame.

The game is set in a steampunkish world, players mainly playing "mad scientists" creating and releasing creatures "à la" Frankenstein.

Here's the pixel art expected for the first set:

- 1 scientific suits, 2 victorian looking suits for men and 2 for women
- 3 generic faces fitting for both gender, 1 with mustache, 1 specific for women (with blush)
- 3 men hairs, 2 women
- 1 generic body for men and women (different colors will be applied by myself more body styles)
- 1 doctor reflector, 2 victorian looking hats for men and 2 for women

Highly detailed art is not desired to allow easy recoloration by myself to create similar parts with different colors.

The artist selected will likely be asked more work to fill others sprites needs. No information about this part for now.

Experience is not required as long as the art provided is of better quality than the previous samples linked in this post.
