| I don't know if we can call that YOUR lineart Ensellitis, because you just traced the lines off of this, right:

I would think it's fine to trace the lines and then shade it to make it pixel art using  the picture as a reference of what and where to colour, buuut you can't say you made that lineart since the person who drew Itchy has made the lineart....right? I mean if this is allowed, can everybody just go out and trace the lines of a cartoon and say 'look I made this lineart of a cartoon' ?

| But it was good lining of the picture anyhow, Ens. You should sketch something up and scan it in and lineartisize it. | |

Ensellitis: Man, there was no reason to take it off. Just don't call it 'your' lineart and give out a ref. pic if possible. Credit where its due, that's all. Edited by 1ucas

Sorry, like I said it was really old, I couldn't remember anything about it except that I did it.  I put it back up.  I am just a bit "odd" the past few days, chemo is really screwing with my head, and now I gotta go back today and get another round... So-lou Thank you, I'll get a few of my sketches scanned up and give it a try...

It's not boring! :P That must've taken you awhile. :) It's fantastic, I think. I might color it later.. but right now it's 2:30 AM so.. I'm going to lie down for a bit. :P

Horribly new at this, but I thought I'd give it a go.  Did
So-lou's lineart.  I used WAY to many colours, and I didn't shade
right, and it sucks.  But I tried!  Edited by Lolli

Wow, those are awesome -DE-! Really cool use of negative space, and so very bold and stylish, and I'm generally not one for anything even resembling anime. Wicked use of colours aswell, make sure you upload them to the main site unless you already have!

@Wannahlakujuu - you can't save them? I don't know why, it works fine for me oO @iSTVAN - those are too small to even bother uploading them. And here is the lineart for the picture I added to the gallery yesterday and posted in the WIP forum (note thet I changed some parts in the colored version):

No way -DE-, they'll go fine as icons! But if you feel uncomfortable uploading so many small images, just throw them all in one set and submit them as one. Its a shame for such great ideas to go amiss in the forum.

Hey this is my first line art and i traced it over a drawing. his name is King Chumly McChumstien III or Chum Chum. Feel free to color and comment. O he is a penguin. color him thusly or whatever you creative mind can think of. There is nothing wrong with psycadelic (spelling?) penguins. oh and im working on the coloring but still make it look better than mine will
OK ive finished coloring, keep in mind that this is my first pixel art ever.........but feel free to smite me in your judgement

Wow, that is a pretty nice first piece. Ok, actually I colored the bling, and advised a little on AA, and gave some creative input. Troglodyteitis is my friend of sorts. And since i helped some you can say blame me for a fration of his crappyness

| All hail 1ucas! I usually start and finish lineart in one sitting, so I never really get a chance to show anyone, unless its a particularly large or complicated picture. But I'll upload a bunch of my now coloured line arts for anyone interested.

As you can see, I tend to save most of my details for the colouring stage.

Nice to see your lineart, iSTVAN, there is a lot of demanding lineart here by now. If someone wants to start doing something more basic and isometric stuff he might want to visit an iso housebuilder: http://iso.webmonk.de It might be even interesting for someone who needs a random challenge.

Interesting link d-p, but it kinda promotes cheating. If they build the
house for you.. well, you dont need any skill. It does everything for
you.. It's certainly an unfair advantage to people who make entire
isometric scenes pixel by pixel.

I mean, I think it is certainly interesting as an experiment to see if the programmers can write this sort of thing, but I don't really know that the practicality of it to pixel artists is very great. There are probably much greater examples of iso if your simply looking for inspiration, and like Ryan-gfx said, it does sort of insight cheating, and the rewards are totally non existent when you just click a button. Interesting link though, make sure to upload it to the main page if you havent already.
