Hello!
I didn't know where to put this, couldn't find any n00b forum. :P

Anyway, I'm trying to polish a logo I made long time ago for my virtual football club. I'd like to make it in silver, like a medal or pendant (hope you get me). Which colors should I use for highlights, mid, shadow? Do you think it's too much for a n00b like me? Any advice is much apreciated.

Thanks!

This should help you. The key to making realistic metallic surfaces is using a palette with high contrast.

Also, the Resources and Support forum would've been better for this. Moved :)

I need some help. I'm trying to make a 195x195px circle around whole image. Is there some special way of doing circles this size?

Thanks.

One could try the circle tool. One could also fill the pixels where the equation (x²)+(y²)=195 is true, given that the image is the cartesian plane and the origin is the center of the image.

RPG is numberwang.

I went with the circle tool. :/ I also realized that 195x195 is probably no go, now I'm on 192x192.

This is my WIP. Please tell me what you guys think of it? Is it any worth, am I on the right track? Can you guess what kind of a cat it is? Hehe.

I have another question. How can one go about adding curved text? Guess I should use the text tool and clean those letters. My question is, should I put text on curve right away or do I make straight line of text and then cut/paste/rotate letters?

Thanks!

I'd rather recomend a Vector based image editor for that etc, will save you a lot of time, not to mention will be a better result.
