So, this is my first time working with pixel people in iso. I don't want them to be blocky or gamey, the way that the smaller ones tend to be. I also don't plan on using the black outline: I just like to plot out the whole thing before getting into color, so a softer outline might help smooth the people. (Also, the clubby sort of hand on the dude will be detailed into a fist with color.) Basically, I just want some pointers on the people and general composition critique.

his head looks like its too far back from his neck, maybe shift it forward a few pixels?

or pull his shoulders back, make them thicker

Not that the all the elements in the scene are out of scale but they sure do appear to be. For example, the shower looks too small the sinks appear too big.

Ah, the shower IS way too small, and the toilet too, I think. Thanks for the pointers on the body, iso-folk are tough.

Here's a wee bit of progress (I'm a student, therefore a pixel slowpoke). What other elements look out of place to you? There's something off that I just can't put my finger on.

All right, I'm almost "done". I'm stuck on the floor, basically between (a) marble tiles (same color as shower tiles), and (b) hardwood slats. So tell me what you think about that or anything else.
