Message

I'm a beginner in pixelart, so could someone please help me shading this? It's for a game i'm making.
Update: I tryed some simple shading myself, i think it came out pretty good. Help to improve it is still welcome!
Update: Added a newer version, click on the images to zoom in on them (for those who didn't know).

	Hi, I see you're new to pixel art here. Don't stress about mistakes too much. The shading here is very dull shading, no offense. However, it's a good start for a beginner. Your contrast in shading is too low, you should make the shadows darker and the highlights lighter. vary the hues of the light and shadow tones. For instance, the shadow's tone more blueish, the highlight's tones more yellowish. I hope that helps you out. Good luck!

	are the yellow parts highlights? because they dont match the skin that well

	The third is definetely the better one. The yellow color as stated is wasted. The pink color is to saturated. The darkest brown (outlines) could be darker to create definitions. The same goes for the metal which could use some metally colors.

	i think the skin is a bit to orange, or aleast the outline is and uh, i think i've seen that before, alpix, are you australian?
