Hi n00ber :D
For future reference, when you want to show your pixels, scroll down to the 'forum' code section of your imagehost and copy that, then use the image 'little tree' icon and paste it there. I did it for you on you this time post and will comment on your sprite even though I'm not a spriter. The lighting style you have chosen is very unlike all the others added for the game. You are using an almost 2 dimentional lighting style there. Its not bad but it just doesn't match the others. Maybe its about 2-3 more colors. Some selout could help too. |

I think the colors need to be more saturated (i.e. more red, less grey). Also some of the lines are jagged.

Selout is Selective Outlining. only using outlines in certain areas
i dont think it would work on this though, as its not the style ofthe game. you're using coloured outlines which is good (black isnt =P)
i think you should study shading a bit more, the crab's body looks pretty flat
something more towards this would work better i think

NEVER and I repeat NEVER AA sprite images on the outside.
The AAing algo was originally intended as a way to make image appear smooth against a set background. When you have a moving character sprite the AAing will become very ugly when not against the initial color.

have 2 things to say here,
1- Jagged lines wont be too bad i suppose.. 2- an easy way of learning is take examples from real games and Pixel art. |

Right now the crab looks more orange than red. Try redding the hue a little bit. And the highlights seem unecessarily bright for a crab. Try not making 'em so bright.
Also, the pinchers look a bit more square than they anatomically would be for a crab. As you can see here a crab's pinchers are more rounded than you've got. If you're looking for pixel art examples of crabs, the PJ gallery has many. The best one I think, is iSTVAN's mini crab. how's that for help, eh? |

I think your confused by what SelOut actually is. Selective Outlining. All you've done is removed the black outlines.
You've also got 14 colours in it though your displayed palette shows 8. Personally, I'd start by cleaning up some of the lines as well as utilizing some of the good ol' hue shifting technique to give some definition and pop. |

Look, Kfuchoin, if everyone was as lazy as you in the world, nothing would get done, and everyone would be asking others if they can do their work. If you read the tutorial and try to apply what Tsugumo says to your crab, you'll end up understanding what sel-out is.
