I'm wondering how to take a more original approach to the standard side view in front of a saloon with two gruffy McGunslingers going at it. If anything this competition will be interesting to see different styles on very similar pixels.

My WIP. Still have to add buildings and all kinds of stuff into the background.

cool idea mistake fur. It'd be interesting to see a more modern background (robot cacti ftw) behind them, leading towards the idea that some things never change! :D

I'm still working on the other guy and the background. I did't know coboy's had lightsabers?

is a easy challenge, so I'm expecting lots of entries.

That's the WIP on my entry. Gonna be another guy on the road. And mabye some other doodads in the picture.

No way, it's awesome! I'm getting a bit of a LucasArts adventure vibe. Nice.
(also, it's 'sheriff', with double f)

I think it would help to make the background a more orange color and take out the dithered area around the sun--it seems really incongruous with the rest of the piece. The outlines on the menus seem kind of out of place, too; it would look better for them to be the same color as the inside of the menu or a darker color than the sky so they show up better.
