They look pretty good, just a bit plain. The emote features are perfect, its just the body of the emotes that could be changed for the better.

They're a bit plain like has been stated, yes. A significant part of this might be that they don't have very good color choices; contrast is very low between the midtone and highlight, probably because you were working on a white BG. (Don't, as extreme BG colors mess up your color choices. Use a neutral tone.) So I suggest replacing your bg with a greyish blue maybe? Then look at your colors. Yellow objects tend to be browner in their shadows; just darkening gives dark yellows a very green tint, which you probably don't want. Also lighten your highlight. Maybe add another color or two to smooth the shading. |

but that's the main problem of your emotes sir, they are just emotes, nothing else than yellow emotes, like the rest of the 1000 sets of yellow emotes out there. not even asuming that your emotes look quite similar to cerealkiller's ones(even when they do look quite similar in some aspects), and that should be an instant warning. why just make another set of emotes? why not pushing yourself to make a set that covers some other expresions of the human being? an emote can be more than just a yellow spot with a happy face on it. and it doesn't mean that making square or triangular emotes will make these diferent.

Has anyone made emotes that were actual human (not cartoonish) heads and not smilies? That would be a good project for you.
