CHALLENGE: StarWars' Poster

Challenge winner JinnDEvil challenges you to use the original Star Wars poster as the reference model for your entry.

You will be using the poster as the layout/composition to create a version of the original using other known characters*.
You will also add the b/w credits area below the image itself.

*Known characters implies known to most or easily identifiable, not just known to you!

• Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
• Only new pixels allowed.
• Open to all members.
• Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

Luke is wearing his lightsaber on his belt, while Han is firing his gun. Han has no lightsaber. The gun blast just looks like a lightsaber in the small picture. Notice Leia is also firing a gun.

I doubt I'll enter it but here is where I was going

Its so poorly pixelled and has a sh*tload of colors. The baby looks like sh*t. If only I had more time.

Even if it is crap. Submit it and get insta ribbon. (only 2 entries so far.)

Just do it =/ I don't see what your reservations are about submitting. It's a challenge and people are supposed to enter it. Not just make entries and hold off submitting them. Look at Tomic's piece. He made it for a challenge a while back, and then worked on it some more and resubmitted it later.

Just remember, sometimes people spend an hour making an entry for a challenge and win, sometimes people spend a whole week working on something and don't even place. It's just how it is, you shouldn't feel bad about how long it took or how much effort you put into it. At the end of the day, if your entry fits the rules and the majority of people vote for it you win, that's all there is to it.

I'm sure you'd feel just as bad not submitting something and the challenge only having 2 entries. Also, if there are only 3 entries (including yours, then those guys get medals anyway :O JUST SUBMIT IT! >(

aw, just enter it.  I actually finished mine the day the competition started, I just waited so long to submit it cause I didnt want to be the first to submit (even though I was anyway).

anyways I hope more people submit.  Two entries is a little boring.  Plus I was really looking foreward to seeing what everyone else came up with.

Pity that's not true.

was this the order you submitted your pixel art?

It's unreasonable to expect every piece by everyone be progressively (equal or) better than the last. We would be missing a lot of gems from your gallery (such as your various themed scarabatars) if that was the case.

Also, like I said, you can fix it up after the challenge is over.

Chances are a challenge entry won't be up to someone's standards anyway. The idea is to made something within just a week. I know you couldn't and didn't make Captain Exocet at Flaber Cove in a week.

I'm voting Telletubbies.
