My very first wip piece that im showing on PJ! cheers for that. This is acully a rather impulsive smal piece that I just desided to do among all my other projects, I have always had something for floating cliffs with things on them and feelt it was a good time to try it out. I could say its like a training piece on how to make a rocky surface. But i feel it would be ashame not to finish it.

The rock itself i feel is going rather well, im happy with the color of it aswell as the texture, So that meens I also have a hard time trying to improve it now as i cant se more then that. The tree is so-so fellt that it could be better, maybe do another kind of tree? dont really know yet.

Im also having a really hard time figuring out the backgrund, was thinking leaving it transparant later, but I dont know, feels strange just to leave it like that on a blank surface.

Any feeldback would be great, im not over confident with what I have here so any help is welcome :)

Its 16 colors with the white backgrund.

Seems it was hard to get any coments on this :/ well, have a little uppdate that might add alittle more. Just say what you think about it.

Having two ideas, with a smale change in one. I put a extra cliff infront of one to se i could brake the canvas a bit and make the image alittle more interesting. alltho I also do like the openness of the secondone. Also having some fun with the color for the backgrund, I think it works quite well i have to say.

Cheers.

I'm surprised to see this much pixelling improvement so quickly from you. Keep going :)

*Re use colors wherever possible.

Thanks for the compliment :) Bening around PJ have thaught me alot, before coming here I knew next to nothing about "pixelart" so to speak.

I ushally try to uses as few colors as i can, I never thought at first that I would care for the color count. But after a while I do se the charm to be able to use few but still be able to show many details with them.
Still, im new to the hole thing, so will have to try and reduce as I go.

That first cliff is pretty amazing.

The pictures you posted. The second one has that empty feel to it (not a empty like in needing more stuff, but empty like, cliffs above the clouds or something), while the first one seems to have more going on. I like them both a lot but I would say the first one is better, imo. C:

This is a great job. I wish I had something to comment, but you are way above my level, so there's nothing for me to criticize ^^

Composition-wise, I think the first picture is much better, but the composition imbalance in the second one may be interesting by itself.

Keep up the good work, and I'd like to see it finished...

A smal uppdate, just a change of colors, and also some detail work on parts of the cliffs. Still alot to go! but going rather well i have to say.

Quite sad that I acully had to go and try and find my old WIP topic... Well, its not dead yet! as im still working on this, but as I have had a lot of other work going on I havent been able to pixel for a while.

Anyway! here is a quite big uppdate, changed the color again since last time, fixt alot of details and so on.

The biggest problem I feel is the texture always looking alittle to much alike everywhere, aswell as I do have a problem with some of the forms themself and where the light should be... Still, It is just a tryout piece for me to train on stuff as I have said before, and I feel I do have progressed quite a bit. But some more coments on how its going and how to improve this thing would be great.
