I just finished one of my pieces and I was amazed at how fast I did it. So, what was the fastest you've done something decent? Also, size is a matter, so post it's size, too.

My fastest was "Thirty Seconds to Mars' 'Two Beautiful Lies'", which is 200x200, and I did it in about an hour.

Most of your piece is just white. Like 50%?

Well, 50% isn't most. It's half.

I'm running in the desert,
running in to the sun,
running out of blood
and I'm going numb.

Well, an hour on that piece is really a lot, knowing that all whats inside is text and 2 red blocks... Even though the text is hand made.

Don't link time to canvas size, they are unrelated.

DX That's not the point. It's still decent, though (I hope). Even if it's a decent 2 color picture, it counts. As long as it's not, like, a stick figure

You can not really categorize that easily. There is no clear border between decent and undecent, and I know quite a few stick figures that are more decent than for example that text thing you did.

Until the defenition of decent is clear, we can not discuss what the longest time you spend on artwork was. I made 5 sec doodles. Do they count? Then how about my 10 sec ones? Then how about my 1 minute ones? And my 2 minute ones? And my best drawings I made in 10 minutes? Or 20? Where lies the border? And what if my 10 minute things are better than my 20 minute ones? What if my 5 sec ones even look cooler at the end. Can I then say my record on making decent art is 5 seconds?

So, you mean that one is not decent?

Hahaha. Who knows? Maybe all of his works take more than that?

Okay: What's the fastest you've done any of your pieces?
Happy now? :)

I believe about 5 seconds on some doodles.
But they weren't decent. :P

Seriously though, I guess 20 minutes or so.

speed is irrelevant. size, quality, complexity, when one is personally satisfied, and many other factors come into play. it isn't that black and white.
this thread is pointless.

I just put down a record breaking smiley. 2 seconds.

And I made pixel art icons in 1 minute.

Happy now?

I take AGES on all of my serious pieces. Actually, I never usually reach the point where I'm finished or satisfied, thus, I have no work here on PJ. =]
