Welp my name is Timothy Thorpe aka tek40 and I've been doing pixel art for about a year. I've made a few gif animation pixel art but they have sucked. I'm getting better. The style of art I do is looks like DBZ Legendary Super Warriors for GBC. I do make background art. And I make a few comics using sprite sheets and things.

I'm Darlos, and I'm here to say that I'm interested in getting into pixel art. I already draw quite a bit, and its my dream to someday make game development my career, so it would seem that learning to do pixel art is a must for a man in my position. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna get started today... I need to make some characters for a game I'm currently trying to make.

My name is Martin Eijmans (M.E.) and I am using my 100th post
to introduce myself a little bit.
As so many here, I'm from Holland, The Netherlands.
I'm at the moment 42 which makes me one of the oldies here.
Luckilly there are some young people here that still can teach this old man something!!!
I live with my [even older!]  girlfriend who has two children (25,27), one
of them is still living at home.
I have worked with computers over 20 years now. At the moment as a
sysadm.
I've been lucky to be able to attend a part-time art-school for three
years which enriched my life.

I like to program and have made several games. The biggest project
started 7 years ago, which is still the main project I am working on.
There have been three versions of the game. The last one received
some nice game-play comments but it was burned to the ground
graphics-wise.

That is the reason I was looking (and now found) a nice community
who is willing to teach/help me with my game graphics.

Hello, I figured it's about time to stop lurking and start participating.

I've used gamemaker for quite some time now, and after I got Scruffs into it and he weened more into pixelart we sort of became a duo. Since then as he's become more involved I couldn't help but become entranced and started working on my pixel skills as well. I can't say they're that good now but I've got a life ahead of me to learn. :)

I'm an administrator over at the GameMaker Showcase, but unfortunately GMforums seem to be dealing with great inactivity and relatively winding down. I think I'd prefer the relatively more mature environment of a pixel forum, so what better place to start than here. :)
