@darchangel; all good! added to the main image.
@pyrometal; it's an edge tile so there are tons of options, first off google "pirate bay illustration" and "pirate cove". These will give you a lot of ideas. Some stuff I'd go for: * A semi ruined wall looking NE that a guy with cannon stands atop defending the island. * A big gate "welcoming" visitors. * Any sort of ruins or rubble. People escaping from the shipwreck. This kinda of semi-empty tiles are also good for the collab. * Some sort of monster/s. @MrHai; yes haha, good start but the waves are a little too monotonous. They remind me of a beehive rather than sea. Edit: WIP for #2; this is only to show the vertical size I'm going for; doesn't tell anything about what I'm going for. I'll probably add a high hill or something. ![]() |

Hey guys, would it be too much if I continue with this idea of icy theme? I can't objective look at this right now so I need your help. I've tried to put some other color into this left column but if you don't like it, I'll remove it.

Heh thanks :) I'd planned to put a speech bubble with "I want to be a pirate" but it kinda kills the scene. Anyways I know the steps are tiny according to the characters and the waves are not realistic, but don't know what I can do about them.
Btw, Pyrometal said he's going to increase the vertical size of #7 after he's done with his current tile so if anyone reserves #6 or #8 don't be limited by the current size of the tile. Main image updated. |

@moondrome: For now I added the 2nd version to the main image but you can change it if you wish.
@Irena: Can't wait to see. If you want an idea, add a character/animal/object that makes sense with the ice, such as a polar bear or igloo or something like a pirate in an ice block. |

I simply followed your style from #2.;)
As you can see, I didn't add anything on my part of the snow because any other character would be too close to the character on the top of the tower and the perspective sense would be very strange on such a small space. So I leave to the owner of the #1 to bring in some action in this corner. Maybe I will add something in the sea (maybe...). |

@Darchangel Not really? Is it supposed to be gold coins? It reads as either fungus or fire to me at first glance. If you look at my monkey tile it shows a quick way to represent the shapes of coins as 2x1 pixels. Also the moss/leaves isn't really integrated in a way that makes sense, feels like it changes colors to abruptly and just ends, you can spot the diagonal lines in the green I think if the area not now is "blue" was just a continuation of the existing bush texture that solve a lot of it. I think more black outlines could separate the different areas more clearly. Maybe add more of a solid ruined wall to the left side of the wall?

Touchups. There are some diagonal lines along the tile border on the tile to the top left (#21, moondrome). The line of blue pixels in the sand/beach I can probably adjust to, but the line of three blue pixels on the grass is harder, because there are green pixels between them and my tile. Figured I could send moondrome a message to see if he'd like to adjust. Otherwise I'm inclined to leave it. It's not really that noticeable at 1x.
