My dual-screen doggy I did in about 5 minutes after setting up my dual-screen desktop again recently.  Was originally going to make him a CMYK palette but ended up just making it MYOrageAAK

Another one of my PWIPs (perpetual work in progress) that I've been working on off and on for like 40 years.  It's my wife and baby riding on their pet giraffetopus. Blurred out the faces in protest of my pickiness.  Still have a lot of refinement to do on this thing after I get the shading / highlights done.

Jeremy, I use the line-art tool in Paint Tool Sai. It's so awesome. You can easily change the pressure, weight, color, etc. a lot better than in photoshop.

i'm really proud of this... not sure if i'll refine the clothes because they were quite crude in the original uncle sam poster. maybe i'll tweak it some more but deadline is frifay morning so i don't think so.

Thanks, Larwick

@Bosch: I think the head is a little too big. Maybe have a cream-coloured background like the original?

Man! Don't be like that. I bet if you spent as much time as I did on the line work on that piece above, your work would be (if not better) clean as mine turned out. I start all of my work from a pencil sketch as well. Then I scan it to Photoshop CS3. And finally clean it up (color) now with my Bamboo touch/ pen pad from Wacom.

I hate when artist trash their own works! We could all be the next best thing really. Im not!!! And I don't suspect I ever will be. And sure... I learn along the way with pratice. But damn it. I'm happy creating art my way! And that IS all that matters for me right now mate! Hope you could be the same some day! Don't be so hard on yourself! Ive seen your work. The force I see you have.

But green! How much TIME did you actually spend on each of those sketches? If you spent seconds... then ok, I agree! But if you spent an hour on each... you're spending too much time. Those are the lines you should be drawing my friend!

Too long! I never spend more than 5.. 10 minutes on a sketch man. That could be your downfall. Draw more on paper. If you have a scanner, use it to upload your work to a program. Then you should clean it up and work with it. You can't learn to skip a stone on water if you've never picked up a stone.

You're a smart guy! You should just learn to trust in your abilities is all I think.

Agreed with Raven 100%.
I'm working on a painting right now, on a canvas and stuff. I'm going to post it when I'm done mostly because it was also inspired quite a lot by some of the great pixel artists from here.
EDIT: Nevermind, I gave up. Painting is incredibly boring. XD

I wanted the colours to be like this but my markers were too dark.

a photograph i took a while back.... analog is the sh*t, ... i found this negative flying around in my drawer after like 1 year or so, full of dust and scatches, developed it again, scanned it and retouched all the scratchs and stuff thats why it looks so old school. if i look back at the original i cant believe how i fixed it, took like hours, it was really really damaged ^^ ... and, on top,...after i was finished, PS crashed and i had to do it all again -___-, anyway, i like the result

....sry for crappy downsizing quality, ...the print looks awesome

@Step dragon
im not sure what u mean with 'completely made in photoshop', like drawn?? no... they are all photographs , except for the first ink picture, i think it was scanned from dried ink on a wall tile... modifications like inverting and color editing where done of course...
the last three photos are also heavily edited with photoshop. the textures u can see are also ink pictures as 'multiply' layers. all three where actually B/W and recolored by hand... the sky/ sun-fx on the last one is completely handmade, i rly like how it turned out

You could paint his face to match the rest of the outfit. Or I dunno, maybe he's too young for face paint. Either way, cute.

Thanks greenie! We'll prolly put some red, or green circles of color on his cheeks when we actually go. That might help all that face space. Because he is too young for face paint. I could just imagine the couch, floor, and car after a full face of paint.

Nope, a free program called Sculptris. Pixologic has bought the rights to the program though, so we should see something really nice develop.

The cool thing about sculptris is that it uses real-time tesselation, so it only adds extra polies where you add detail, rather then having to add extra subdivisions to the entire model. Read - it's less intensive to run.

I made both those pics on my Toshiba M400, which only has an intel GMA and no dedicated videocard. So it's not a good 3D machine, but it can sorta handle (about 10~15 frames per second) those 2 models in sculptris.

Greenraven - is your avatar the Cheshire Cat? That blue model is American McGee's Cheshire cat. If you haven't played American McGee's Alice yet, I highly suggest it.

Some doodling I did in class. Done in OpenCanvas 1.1 (that really old, free version that still did multiplayer canvases).

since I cannot yet post any pixelart stuff I'm doing at the moment (i.e. big project, loads of hours) but being under NDA and other not finished work, so this weekend I tried to do something else to stay away from the pc (eyes started to hurt after more than 50hs pixeling) hehe
Hope you can appreciate :)
