Also; people can reinterpret anything as they wish within their tiles.

For example in this collab, Limes started a worm and |||| reinterpreted it as a giant rat's tail, which was great.

I finally got to changing tile 4. Sorry that took so long xP Still looks really messy, creating bodies at that resolution is kinda hard for me. Will probably come back to it.

I've started on tile 31. (oh forgot to say taking 31 kthxbye) I still need to figure out what to put there... You can go ahead and put it in the main image though as it fits.

That's true about bodies at that size, but it's good practice.

#31 is yours, and it looks good so far . I put WIPs in the main image to allow others to take & start neighboring tiles. Therefore I prefer not to put early WIP stages in the main image as they would be misleading. So I encourage you to develop this as fast as possible so I can put it.

@SpeedyCube, That's totally your own idea. You only used my concept :)
You are doing really well with very small details. This will help you in all future pixels of any kind.

Minor update to 87

Explain what exactly is 'hard' for help.
Try to explain the visual you want and the technicalities you are facing.
Post whatever you have.

@Limes; it's completely ok if you want to pass, you can look back after a while if it's not taken. But as Jal said, you may also choose to get some tips from others, too, which is one of the best sides of collabs. Giving you #77 now, tell me if you change your mind.

Some edits:

@speedycube; looking nice so far.

Here is my WIP #3 for tile #19.

I seriously don't know if this is better or worse than my previous one. I'm trying out a lot of different things and making other things up as I go so I don't know if they look good to other people or not.

Please let me know what looks off to you or anything that you think should be improved. Crits, comments and ideas are all welcome: my hope is that with enough experimentation and feedback I can eventually learn how to pixel decently enough.

Thanks

@Speedycube; good job!

@Pix.Ed.; Everything seems better except the light green pixels on the grass. They seem a little jaggy. On the whole you can smooth things with the colors of other hue. For example your labyrinth walls consist of 3 shades of purple, but you could also use darker green inbetween.

@aeveis, The dragon is just a a rough. I will adjust to your part of the dragon since I'm just following your lines for that section.

Adding the headless horseman from Sleepy Hollow :)

This dragon has secretly became our mini-collab on this one with at least 5 people involved :) And looks nice so far...

Edit: Jal I'll put yours like this so the future neighbor can get inspired if they wish. But you will need to fill that border with #45 eventually.

WIP #4 for tile #19

Smoothed some shadow/highlight lines and shifted some hues to tone down contrast. In general this seems to smooth things down and makes some parts look cleaner.

@Gecimen: I tried to address all your comments as I understood them, let me know if I left anything out. Thanks for the feedback, it helps a ton.

I can't think of anything else to do on this one ATM so I'll call it done unless anyone brings up any changes, corrections or improvements. All feedback is welcome.

Thank you

Pix.Ed.; yes it looks much better now, except maybe you could smooth out the border of the giant hand, as Limes pointed out. No rush though, it's not too inconsistent with the rest of the hand.

Limes; cancelling out #77 and giving you #45.

Hey @Limes. Which part of the hand you referring to? I only have a little bit of it's the left edge on my tile. At first I tried a lot of different things but nothing else looked good, what do you have in mind?

You've done a nice job all around and do not understand what's mentioned with the hand so I leave that to them.
My only crit is the light green highlight grass on the right hand side which should have none because of the lighting. The ghosts also have shadows that are top down and also do not follow the lightsource. So yeah, all is cool but the lightsource is inconsistent. Its not a huge deal here but consistent lightsources in all your art will make you a better artist and is important in art even when its not realistic, k.
Below is the lightsource picked for this collab copied from the 1st page.

@jalonso Yeah the dragon is in the water - I might chnages things depending on where I decide how I do the water or so. Your part looks good so far! I'll use that for reference as well.

Totally! I left that blank, really. Do whatever you want or need and I'll adjust to it.

I kinda made the wing skin translucent to add a little variety but I'll adjust to your wing too.

This tile is really for my headless horseman so all the dragon is just a filler in my tile and will follow you and eaveis.

Water in the left corner is good as it is; it seems like getting shallower and ending there.

Very good job with the dragon.

I don't think it's a big problem. Can be solved like something like this:

Although I'm almost sure Jal will go for a more complicated solution

PS: don't touch my pyramid

PS2: Jal I think you better start revisiting your tile and afterwards I will visit mine too , so that the rest of the neighbor tiles are ready for their new hosts...
