I just joined recently and thought I'd introduce myself.  I'm from SE Michigan and am older than I like to think about.  I'm a computer systems analyst for one of the Big Three auto makers.

Soo... yeah! I just joined today so I figure I should introduce myself!
My name is Hazel, 21 and I've been pixelling for quite some time now. Mostly, I've done pixel dolls (quite a number of the more recent ones qualify as pixel art, though... I only categorize them as dolls out of habit :P).

I've been lurking around pixeljoint for some time now and, right now, I have no idea what to do now that I've actually joined the community. (except pixel. That I certainly will do.)

Welcome LadyHazy and Perihelion!  I found that the best way to get into the swing here is to jump in on the weekly challenge... post your drafts in the WIP, get comments, make changes, and post the final to see what happens!  I sometimes have a loss for what to draw and the challenges give me a direction... fun stuff.  Anyway, welcome again.

hello everybody, i usually do graphic design but over the past two years have been making pixel art. i make chiptunes for the band im in called cat brigade, and am studying to be a graphic designer.

Hello everyone. I'm Antifarea, I have been spriting from scratch since january 2009. I have joined first pixelation aka way of the pixel how I always call it lol. Then I decided to join here, I didn't know you guys had any relationship with each other heh, but after taking a look around I see some of the same mods and administrators there have a history here.

Isometric looks nice, but I'm not interested at all in making anything isometric, other than learning how to do it. I'm more interested also in making game art resources, mostly for rpgs since I deal a lot with programs like rpgmaker, mugen, etc...  so my main interest to get better is to not only become a proffesional, but because I need it for my projects and of course, for the big plans I got for later on.

Is anyone familiar with vector graphics (I know it's inappropriate, but I am studying it)?

Also, has anyone have any success with pixel art? I mean gotten paid for their service.

Hello my name is Łukasz, I am an old fart from Poland  Ive registered long time ago but recently I have made and submitted something (finally) so now I feel in position to introduce myself

I just started creating pixel art last nigh. It's fun as hell, but I have lot's to learn (obviously)

So many new people, hello, hello, hello.

  a little intimidating,but inspirational, to see such amazing, petit artworks.  I am into graphic design and illustration.  A friend told me about pixel art - thought it would drive me insane, but it's loads of fun and quite addicitve!

Wow, I just realized I never posted in the forums until very recentlly! Hi guys! I've been here for a couple years, but I was always very keeping to myself and not very active. Haha, I'm trying to fix that now since I'm a lot more outgoing than I was (and I'm getting back into pixels since I finally have time to pixel again!...kinda. Okay, I don't actually have time, but I just had to get back into it!)

I'm Dai, and I've been pixelling since 2004, when I got into pixel dolls. It didn't take me long after that to get interested in spriting and doing a lot more pixels from scratch, and trying to seriously improve my skills. I've also started and dropped a lot of game projects, a habit I'm desparately trying to lose. ;P

Haven't yet had the guts to ever try one of the challenges. Was hoping that this week upon my return there'd be one that wouldn't scare me. =P I'm very bad with limited palettes! Still, I think I'm gonna give it a shot (if I don't chicken out...)!
