a few tweaks here and there, ready to call this done. Can't seem to get Wendy in it; but yeah... Ok to call this done or are there any problems with it?

I think having Mr. Rogers in a bloody sweater would be be distasteful, that is my opinion though (and would he be recognizable?).

@Jal and Gecimen Perhaps I can put another even smaller eyeball there so there's still breathing space but fills that gap?

Not to mention the fact that I don't know who is mr rogers...

@aeveis, yes that'll be better.

@pandora: the tile is a little un-horror thanks to the happy casper but if this is what you want then it'll be this way. A nice tile overall, GJ!

I'm on the roads again, updates will be delayed a little...

I can stick to the sand. The texture may change but if you can make it work, I can stick to it. Will post WIP soon. Sorry, I've been super busy.

Mr rogers was a kids TV show in the 80's or something. The comment was purely a joke.

It seems a step back to me, in terms of the theme and overall aesthetics but it's just me. I liked the whirlpool better.

Just a quick WIP to let you know I'm in.
Always wanted to draw Shai-Hulud. I feared and loved that thing since I've read about him when was a child. I know he's pretty small here, but he's still about 15 meters length.

Melbs has drawn sandworm too.
Well, in Dune he was over 400 meters long.

Still not sure what climbs this balcony but if somebody wants to make the neighbors, here's the version with stones made. I made the stones a little more flat, to avoid monotoneness.

Since you took my sandworm and went crazy with it, I removed mine. It was being overshadowed. Here is my updated work in progress.

It's not yours sandworm.
It's Shai Hulud from Dune.

The lower part is a little misshaped. If you need, you can go up.

I am happy only with his mouth right now actually, so decided to break him down to simpler forms and start all over again. What do you think?

Can't be sure if the form is fixed, definitely seems better but could be a little smoother. Quick edit:

Oh, thanks.
I just took pencil size 3 and made very quick and rough forms back then and didn't clean them up.

Ah ok. It's just that the base you begin with is very important in the outcome.

@melbs; feel free to do anything with your tile.

Okay. And I didn't mean that you stole my sandworm or anything, I know they are different, and I love how yours is coming along; It does justice to sandworms, whereas I felt limited by space and was unable to do my sandworm justice.

@melbs; there's no harm in elements of neighboring tile interacting with eachother. But I suggest you don't try to agree on stuff before you begin, cause it doesn't work out. Either both of you should do their own thing or one of you wait for the other and create some sort of interaction.

Here is my first WIP for Tile #44

It is a rough draft of two background options that I'm exploring right now. I'm not yet settled on what the scene is going to be but given the setting I'm inclined towards including some classic Doom characters (if i can manage to pixel them).

I didn't want to post anything yet since there is not much to see but I'm getting some PMs so I probably should show that I am working on it at least.

It is coming out very slowly and it is probably going to take several more weeks to complete. Hope that is not delaying anyone, if it is please let me know and we'll see what we can do.

Crits, comments and ideas are welcome as always.

@Finlal; If both neighbors wait for eachother, they may end up not doing anything at all. I think you better move on with what's in your mind and let melbs do his own thing.

@Pix.Ed.: Your arc is not Isometric.

@Gecimen, I'm not very sure I can move on at the moment.
I entered weekly challenge and got myself a job so most likely I'll have time for this only at next week.

Thanks for catching that @Gecimen: I've put something in place for the inside of the arch and will clean it up as I move along.

Also selected one of the backgrounds I was working on and added some elements in the spirit of Doom.

thoughts, crits, comments and ideas are welcome.

A very rough edit for the shape of the arc:

can be even wider...

@Pix.Ed. and All.
Its a little bit of extra work but this is a way to solve some isometric lines which gives you a lot of problems to get just right. This method works on any line.
The key is to make the width reduction (usually 80% is good) tho sometimes this needs adjustments too so it reads right even when its not 100% accurate. Anything from 75% - 90%.

Could be funny. But I really do not remember last time I use another person's palette. And I never in my life made anything isometric. I am really not sure.
