Another noob here...

I'm currently in college for art... my dream job would be character creation artist for videogames.

Other things I like are...
Biology, jellyfish, shinythings, coffee, piano, and my cat.

Yep.. thats about it.

I guess this should have been my first stop. I am Alex from New Zealand and I draw in MS Paint and paint only. I don't really do animations or sprites but panels with drawings in them. I love the pure unadulterated satifaction of drawing something knowing that every pixel on the piece has been done by me and not some custom brush.

Hello there, I am Lance and i'm from the USA. I found out about this site today, and i've always loved the idea of pixel art so I decided to join to try and get tips,critiques and hopefully learn to do pixel art.

I use paint as I don't currently have a job; my other hobbies include video games, paranormal, history, mythology, reading,writing and much more. Mainly the nerdy stuff.

I'm Amir. I have been making things on Microsoft paint since 4th grade. I only found out about recolors and sprites in 7th and only started making my own pixel art last year. I'm 16 an live in the US. Cant wait to get to know the people on here and maybe collaborate on something.

Hello, I'm sorta new here! I joined on the last day of the last year and only now have been able to login. I'm new to pixel art, but if I could say anything about myself It is that my style consists of rather dark Themes and palletes with a heavy realiance on purple. I currently am working on a mobile sidescroller, And may post work from some time in the future.

well basically im a guy discovering the wonders of digital art in every form which it represents it self so yeah,that said I am new to the whole gfx scene and my most experience is in sig making which I had been doing for the past 4 months ^.^ and I would now like to explore into the pixel world as well as the 3D world,so that's about it :D

Photocopier kept on mentioning this site on picturewars.net so blame him for me coming here. The pixelart over there is exclusively 3/4 view, 10-40 pixel tall battle ready warriors and tanks (which is great!) but I wanted to do some other kinds of characters and scenes too so I came here.
I am also bilingual (Français and English) so I hang around rétropixel too.
So yeah that's my story, I'm here to improve my skills, learn new skills and generally troll the forums have fun.
PS: my handle doesn't actually mean anything and isn't even related to me in any way so don't ask what it means.

Well, I live in the center of New Mexico, and have my entire life. I started messing with pixel art probably about 5-6 years ago.
Back then I was just doing, "sprite edits," of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories characters.
Not long after I got into that though, my connection to the internet was gone, and I only reconnected myself with teh interwebz about 2 years ago. Since then I've occasionally messed around with spriting and improved my skills a bit.

So, yep, here I am today.

Hello Pixeljoint. Thank you for being a real thing, because prior to stumbling here I had no idea that the pixelmedium was so alive. I hope someday I have the balls to post work directly to the forum so that I can get ripped apart and get better.

I've been gaming for a while, had a Dendy (a Russian Famicom) and played Mario on that. When I came to the USA, the first game I played was Banjo Kazooie (or whatever) and hated it... I ended up getting an N64 anyway, and bought Zelda for it. Got hooked right away. I'm still obsessed with Zelda and I like to argue about anything that pertains to Zelda (ie Miyamoto's plan for Zelda, Link's age, timeline, etc)... This usually pisses people off, but I'm fine with that.

Hey guys! I'm the Community Manager for Atakamalabs. We make a game called Little Cave Hero. It's a pixel based social game.

When I'm not working and keeping our players happy, I'm out taking pictures, drawing things, going to concerts, or reading comic books.

I love hip-hop, rock, and electronic music!

Back in the early 00' I worked on some pixel creations and since my job makes a pixel game, I started to dabble with it again!  Hope to hope in the scene again and create awesome things. :P

Hi ya. ^^ I'm Melee (or Emily, whatever). I've been lurking on PixelJoint for a bit, but I finally decided to join the forums and-- gasp-- try my hand at the weekly challenge.
I found the PixelJoint through a user I was watching on dA, if I remember correctly.
Um, I'm currently on summer break, but I was just accepted into the Graphic design program at my uni (lol, still excited)-- I've been interested in graphics, both pixel and not, for awhile (like six years?). After this degree, I'm thinking of grabbing something in animation or video gaming. I got into pixel art almost two years ago when I saw what my online friend was making. I haven't pixelled/sprited/whatever in a long time though because my freshman year at college was so terrible with the CORE. xD

I want to catch up again and improve on what I already know-- ahaha, my old pixel-art is pretty bad. And jeesh, everyone here at the Pixel Joint is amazing. *_*
