@fawful: Really nice, although the clouds have a lot more potential. I'd like to see them poofier :) good work!
@StepDragon: Too much dithering, not enough AA in my opinion (opinion being the key word, because you may very well be going for that look. But dithering usually should be kept to a minimum). Also, the ripples in the water from the fishing line are completely out of perspective. Other than that, nice work. If you could incorporate some of the greens in there, that would help it a lot too, I think. @ev149: Niiiice. I like the shading, it almost makes it look like it was colored in with crayon. |

![]() Here's an update, i worked on the water, added some AA to the clouds, i do plan on leaving most of the dithering in the clouds, i'm trying to stay true to the original... http://aspectratio.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/dreamworks.png with the unpaletteable palette. i'm still not sure what to do with the grass/horizon line... any suggestions? |

Thinking like this Although what you've got there looks good to me now, that second layer of clouds in front looks great. |

@fawful: Huh, odd. It worked yesterday :( Looks great, but there are two minor things: 1.Those footsteps in the snow are so light that I couldn't even tell they were there until I zoomed in. Although that may be better than them being too dark. And 2.the left side of the big snow patch looks so empty, maybe put some rocks there?
@DoberMann: AWESOME lineart. I also like the bubble-y effect on the background. |

Phew, submitted at 00h00... Will it pass ?
![]() In any case that's my first "big" pixel-art, for a competition, and it's kind of ugly. ![]() Other participations are great, because the choice of colors is appropriated and are seriousely done I think... (What I want to say is that mine isn't. I wanted to use all the possible coulours. )(Sorry if my english is a bit strange.) Edit : Didn't passed. ![]() ... Oh I undestood. I'm in Belgium and the hour aren't the same. I'm so stupid. Edited by Red-Error - 09 May 2010 at 3:16pm |
