Nah, I just ticked the resize option in Imageshack by mistake.
Just got back from a friend so I didn't get much work on it.

this is what i've done so far. My intention is to make an animation in the same way than i did Odisey(my first submission to PJ)
![]() The building at the left is the Defese Ministery, next to it the Entel Tower. both from Chile. ![]() the second one it's just an sketch of anothe scene.... about the transformer itself... i'll kept it in secret for now. Edited by Metaru - 30 June 2007 at 5:14am |

Not sure if I'll have chance to finish this, but I've been toying with this idea all week and had a play around with some rough animation this morning...
Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square Mega-Cannon type-thing. :)

That's nice, GingerStu.
Don't think I'm going to finish mine.. again.. again.. ![]() I blame the animation part for the lack of completed pieces this week... |

Thanks Skull! And don't give up on yours either, I love the sphinx idea!
I think I'm in over my head here, but I'm going to forge onward. Here's what I have so far-
I have the complete column and the under-cannon on seprate layers. The pic on the right is a quick and rough test to see how it will look in it's alternate state.
Needs alot more work, and all the frames and between... And the pigeons, I'm looking forward to doing the pigeons
I think I may just manage to finish this, so long as I do nothing else for the next 32 hours...

My art...
G4 Destron Style Lincoln mode. The evil Destron Rail Gunner would transform into statues of A3 or Convoy, any Cybertron unlucky enough to pass by would be blasted to sl*g by his twin Rail Guns. Edited by Art_Sempai - 30 June 2007 at 5:21pm |

Does anyone know of any tutorials or hints or tricks anywhere that helps with perspective (I'm guessing they would be rather vague...)? I'm having trouble with thinking of the object and shapes as a 3d model, even moreso when I'm trying to get the lighting right as the thing animates. Even if it doesn't come in time for the compo it'd still be nice for future pieces.
GingerStu that animation is so wonderfully lively. If you don't finish animating all the pieces submit both the animation and the coloured versions together. Edited by DJD - 01 July 2007 at 8:40am |

DJD, Sometimes the best thing is to throw a live model of your shapes using paper, stuff laying around, whatever. Then light it as you'd like using a stonger than normal lightsource (strong lamp?) Then use your digital camera to take stills of the item/model (however many frames you want in your animation). Then use those as your reference images to pixel. It works better for me than anything else other than a 3D modeling program used to do the same thing. Good luck.

great finish GingerStu; the needle is interesting Reflects, if not a little unsettling considering those would be huge drops of blood. ![]() edit: 58 minutes and done! Edited by DJD - 01 July 2007 at 11:02pm |

Thanks everyone! This was alot of fun.
![]() Reflects: I like the needle, pretty gruesome too. You should have a go at animating those blood drops. Just noticed you're from Liverpool and I'm surprised you chose the CN Tower rather than something closer to home, an example of stunning British architecture like the Radio City Tower maybe. Though, I admit, it probably isn't pointy enough to be a syringe. ![]() |
