Hmm, maybe you should use the human anatomy just as reference and not actually shade the muscles just like Stichy mentioned, but maybe that how you want it, erm, also a main problem I find with the robe colours is that there is alot of difference between the dark and the middle tone, I recommend you adding an extra colour between those two.
