Showing some progress on #18. I like the tree because I can break up the monotony of the large wall. I want to start on the tree once I get some feed back on what's behind it =].
![]() @Jal: I think we need to agree on the color of the ground and the bottom right corner of wall on your tile. I don't think we can use both. Most ppl are using the dark gray for the wall facing us (#55 for example). Also, could you take a look at my ISO? Specifically, it doesn't look like it;s lining up with yours? The pixels get a little hard to read on the edges and I was struggling to find the correct position. @Acherhar: My neighbor to the north! Could you chime in on the ground color as well? We should be consistent =]. Should we try something interesting for inside the wall castle thing? |

@Aeveis & Lijj, thanks for the comments, I haven't had much time since then, so for now I'm going to continue with the lighter colors, and if that goes south I'll try for darker with a fix to the wall's edge, which I need to work on anyway.
@Sham, heya! I have no problems going for something more interesting inside the walls. I was stuck for ideas so I started working on the pit just to get something out there, but to be honest I'm sure something more fitting could take its place. As for the ground color it's no longer that dark, here's as far as I've gotten, please feel free to offer suggestions! ![]() And if you want to do something completely different inside the walls of the castle, I have no objections to scrapping the interior I have now, just bear in mind that I don't have that much experience pixelling :p I'm also not too keen on the portion of wall in the back, that could go as well. What I want to try to get in there for sure though would be what I have quoted below. Originally posted by Acherhar

@Acherhar that sounds good. I'll probably get to tweaking my top corner to match the light rocks this weekend.
@shampoop Do you plan on making the wall lighter to match what jalonso has started in the corner there? just wondering, it could make the tree pop out more. Do you plan on adding anything behind the tree infront of the wall (is that what you were asking?) @shampoop, The whole ground area in my tile is entirely WIP'd. I was waiting for you to post something and to even see if the tree would stay. Since you like the idea of it then I'll stick to the hanging guy. I will post another 'ground' later today to help your/my tile, k. I think placing a small ledge like Erstus has used in his tile will be nice.
About the wall. It seems maybe too much, too big. Maybe some destruction? You'll need to see what the tree will cover, I guess. The wall being lit can be light as I made on last update as there can always be a beam of sunlight but I can darken it up too. @Reo, yes, the hanging is not reading right yet. |

@Erstus, No, I was just giving you an alternative idea should toxic fumes not read right because that section looks like a swamp.
Your tiles are beautiful. My only crit is that the overall lighting looks soft and, imo, more harsh and dramatic lighting could add more drama. Edited by jalonso - 09 October 2013 at 12:23pm |

Made a bunch of edits, felt there was too much wall so got rid of some of it (leads up to what used to be a window space). Hopefully this frees up some space for you as well, Acherhar. I did creep a bit into your space mostly to compensate for that chunk of wall I took out.
