I have tummy bumbles from deadlines and lack of sleep. I often don't sleep when I'm trying to derive formulae. The current obsession is the mathematics behind 1 point perspective. It is wrong but still amusing. I have bridged the math and art department at my college. People need to quite studying knowledge as if it can be compartmentalized into separate fields of study.

I see... but I say old bean, the vanishing point of any object is really based on an individual's spacial perception of physical matter. What you call a vanishing point some might see as a gathering of mass. Beauty. Eyes. Beholders. You know the drill.

I've never like the art term "negative space" it is not technically accurate. I've been turning it around in my mind for about three hours and I would think that "negative space" would not mean the absence of space but rather the mirror image of the shape along each axis with 0 as the origin for measurement. I think the term complimentary space would be a better fit for the concept. For example, if you have 10 objects and you are focusing on 4 of them 6 of the of the objects are the complementary objects for the four objects that you are focusing on.
