It's someday in December. Anyway I've been downloading all the Underworld movies to watch them from first to last. Mostly because of Kate Beckinsale. She's not in the latest movie tho.

Santa is not Sinterklaas.
Santa is some old man invented by a Dutch worker of Coca-cola who thought Coca-cola could use some guy looking like Sinterklaas too, to sell their products. Sinterklaas SinterClaas Santerclaus SantaClaus -_- But yes, Santa is inspired by someone who really existed yes. |

the whole sinterklaas tradition in holland (and some parts of belgium and germany) was actually based on the pagan rituals of the germanic tribes. originally wodan (thats the southwestern name for odin) came by each fall on his eight-leged white mare and dropped some seeds in the shoes of litle cheildren which they would then plant to learn the joys and rewars of planting and eating of your own crop. even the zwarte piet has his origin in these old myths, it was only after the chistening of the germanic tribes that they slapped on the whole saint nicholas thing to make the whole tradition church-compliant. zwarte piet only became a blackface in the 17th century and the americans introduced the idea of there being many zwarte pieten when they liberated the dutch in 1945.
