I have both sizes and only use the 6x8 for photo/ad work. I find it too big for pixel art. I use the 4x5 exclusively for pixel art and could not live without it. Open it and get over the first few hours of akwardness already (don't forget to program the buttons on the stylus)

I don't think so but that's personal prefs I guess. When you say "photoshop with the brush and all that" I gather you mean non-pixel art. If so, the 4x5 should be fine since you only work on one section at a time but remember the tablet can be programed to be a section for those times when you need that. When I said I use the 6x8 size, its for bigger than 11x17 at 600-800dpi for printing purposes. All web/pixelart I find is great with 4x5.

tablets are just cool. and they're really handy to work with.

i myself have got a A4 sized tablet (its a b-brand though) untill i have the 400 bucks to buy an a5 sized wacom.

it sketches lovely, but for pixels i still prefer t3h m0use.

Some disagree but I find that with a tablet you have better control of pixels and is much more comfortable to use than the mouse. For us Macheads its extra helpful because the stylus(pen) has programmable buttons that I use to make a *two button* type, thus making the Mac even better than ever. The newer wacoms also have a scroll wheel, awesome while surfing for po...pixel art. As I said before I cannot live without them and feel constrained with a mouse. The low end 4x5 wacom is +- US$100. It does take a little bit of time to get used to them but once you do its heavenly.

jalonso. if you want to have 2 buttons on a mac you can just buy a relatively cheap USB laser mouse

I'll stick with my wheel mouse.

allso i prefer to have the lower one to be rightclick. leftclick is just a push =)
