Hello there! I am FrankieSmileShow! Real names' francis. I live in a random suburbian town in Quebec, Canada, and finally decided to post in the forums. I figured that was a good place to start.
Im into programming and pixel art. I got into programming first (got introduced to the world through "Game Maker", that scripting program that uses a very simplified coding language and helps with ressource management, and does lots of the work for you), and am now sudying computer science. Game maker forcing me to try pixel art, I became better over the years, and now am into both subjects. I begun to seriously work on pixel art only recently though... when I entered this site :D
SedgeMonkey! you are responsible for my current improvement! You created a MONSTER :(

heres the two only projects I ever "finished" in Game maker before moving on to real programmation:

done these quite some time ago now, the last one was in may 2004...

So now I study at college, drawing comics for the students newspaper and speedrunning DOOM between classes (while the others mindlessly pretend having fun on Unreal Tournament!)

THings of my interest: Progressive rock, pixel art, programming, french litterature, writing, game design and other pretentious things! HELLOT!

Edit: oh and right now in computer science were learning C#. Not very throughout in it, I only experimented a lil bit so far. Like, I made a random maze generator...

Well, I actually roamed around on Pixel Joint about 4 or 5 month ago, but due to me trying to prioritize my life and school, I was not able to really get back into PixelJoint.  But, now that summer is on hand, I have tons of time, that of which I spend programming awesome games, such as Larwick's Rustbug, and hopefully PJ the Game if everything goes good.  I have become more of a programmer now, but I think I have actually improved my pixel art skills aswell.

Hello everyone. My name is Kaltsu and I live in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. I earn my living doing pixels (lucky me!) but I consider myself more as a comic artist. Don´t want to (and probably even couldn't even if I wanted to) do mainstream though, so I don´t get any money out of it. Also been pretty lazy lately so mainly I just do pixels 8 hours a today, five days a week and watch movies, play games and drink heavily the rest of the time.

At a moment I have little more hair on my head so it would be pretty much justified if you wanna call me an old fat dirty hippie. Hahaha.

Well, actually, I'm Skyler Sinclair, a.k.a. Jimm (or Jimm the Dog), 19 years o' age, and an electronic-music-guy. I think pixel art is the coolest art on the internet, because it's the only kind that still has some real kickass variation to it. I used to pixel when I only had a 286, and had to move the single-pixel cursor with the keyboard, and then I moved up to a Mac with system 7.5, and used a program called Aldus Superpaint. I stopped for a while, but now I'm trying to get back into it as an inspiration-starter for my music. w00t for inspiration! So, what I'm trying to say is... it's great to meet you guys, and to look at your fantaztic creations!

Howdy! I'm Eilidh, I'm 14, and I live in Shetland. Don't bother looking it up, most maps chop it off because it's rather small. Nice place though. I like pixel art, but I didn't take art in my Standard Grades because I feel it sucks the fun out of it. Plus, I can't paint scenery.
 
In between straining my short-sighted eyes at a magnified picture, I work at the local hotel cleaning, play the bass and go to youth club.
 
And some other (un)interesting facts!
 
I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I detest the Pussycat Dolls, I would like a hamster, my favourite school subject is either Computing or Maths, and I'm terrible at basketball.

Hi there ... I just realized I didn't introduced myself and found that impolite.
So I'm maloART, but let's call me Malo or Marco as the ART postfix sounds quite pretencious. I'm french (which also means that I AM pretencious), and live near Lyon.
I'm not drawing frequently but more as a hobby. I'm a real fan of any old school stuffs and especially games (couldn't list all the games I played when I was young). It all started with an Apple ][c when I was about 8 (this would mean that I am terribly old comparing to most of you folks) ... I discovered how to draw things (and had a real crush into palette choices, dithering techniques, etc.) when I first installed Deluxe Paint II enhanced in my old PC (I still have the original 5¼ floppy disks somewhere).
Well, I also like french comics (bandes dessinées) but I am totally unable to draw comic/manga styled stuff. I play guitar (ref. BtGAvatar shows my favorite instrument) and particularly love Jeff Buckley.
I like this forum and community and spends a lot of time reading crits and comments ... it's a huge source of improvements and inspiration. There are many talented pixel artists here.

Well, eghost, I tend to believe that people around 30 have a natural feeling in pixeling stuff, as they generally started drawing with a hightly restricted palette of 2, 4, 8 bits, having no scanner only tablets.
