Hello, I'm Devon. I'm new to PJ, but not really that new to Pixel Art. I just started getting serious about it though because I want to get better. So far since I've decided to get better I've made 2 Avatars(One of myself and one for a friend) and I need some C&C so I can avoid these problems in the future.
This first one is a self-portrait: --
I know I need to fix the shading on the hair, but other than that what can I do to improve it? The second Avatar: --
This one was made for my RL friend who has a Cat-Girl complex(No lie..scary).I still haven't figured out how I'm gonna go about shading the hair yet. Edited by LordUlquiorra - 06 May 2010 at 5:50am |

contrast. Lots more contrast. Not quite as much as your WIP stages with the intense yellow, but a lot closer to that than what you have now. also whhile you're at it, make the shadow's colors more interesting. either shift more towards red, purple, blue, or green (depends on the skin tone and surrounding area i suppose)
