   CHALLENGE: Mansel in Distress
Show a helpless male (human) character  that needs rescuing from a perilous situation. This could be anything  from a prince being held captive in a castle to your uncle having a  flat tire on a freeway.
Disclaimer: Before anyone cries foul, I just want to point out that this challenge is in no way intended to be sexist or discriminatory; the purpose here is to provide a new spin on a well-worn trope (that is, of course, the familiar 'damsel in distress' scenario).

Canvas Size - Max 180 (width) x  160 (height).

Colours - Max 30. 

Transparency -  Optional.

Animation - Optional.
CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

	The problem is that you don't insist enough on his hair. He just look like he's scary by something above him, your concept isn't obvious. Why don't you emphasize the hair mess ? It would be more understandable imo.

	when i see this the first thing i think of is that were about to enter into a predator film or alien film. i'm sure you've seen those films. almost everyone in this world has. lol i could so imagine an alien on a wall above his ready to attack.

	I agree with Manjaman; some hair utensils would be excellent. Like a haircomb being devoured by his hair. Or a hairdryver/comb/scissors in the picture. Something like that.

	Here's my first (and very, very rough) draft: it will be a mansel having to purchase tampons for his sister/girlfriend/wife. Poor mansel. The hands need work, I know.

	Thanks for suggestion, man! But my intention is show the princess's dispair too! She was there to be saved, not to save the prince, but in the end she needed save the both!

	Getting closer to finishing. I'm going to work more on the box, it's pretty lame right now. Also, let me get your opinion on something: should I keep the background transparent, or put in a background? I'm not sure if it would make it too busy or not.

	I'd keep the background transparent. Having lots of aisles and stuff might be distracting, though having a shocked old lady in the background would be funny. (thanks!)

	ok...the old lady's face is over dithered; more unnecessary dithering on both the guy and girl's arms; reverse AA on their arms; also, if you are not using a background, the AA on the outlines will look weird on darker backgrounds.

	Love the old lady's face. Girl's left (ours) sleeve looks weirdly like a boob. Guy's right biceps bulges too much.
