Hi
I am looking for a sprite mentor who is willing and quite capable of teaching me how to create high quality sprites and graphics pieces. At this point in time I can only use Paint and Gimp or any other free program.
I am wanting to learn how to create cartoony sprites with a large amount of colourful detail. Stuff like this:
So if you are free and can teach me that would be EPIC! Even if its just for a short time.
Cheers ;)

we have a WIP forum where the community helps you improve by providing feedback on the work you post, we don't really have an apprenticeship system in the pixel art community, doubt you'll find a sensei willing to sacrifice his time to take you under his wing.
like onek said, there's no quick route where knowledge is instantaneously transferred from brain to brain, art takes study and practice, like anything in life. there are tons of tutorials on pixelart lying around, that'd be a good place to start. |
