Draw a tree. If you can get it to look good you'll learn a hell of a lot. It doesn't matter how bad you make it at first, post it. We'll help you with it. Don't make it big though, go for about 128x128. Post it in the WIP forum and we'll help you. I'm guessing your new to pixel art btw, I might be wrong though.

Draw a nude. Getting the human form right is the best practice for a beginner. I used to use a lot of refs from a nude photography site. (not porn)

ive been doing pixel art sinve november 2009, but i started iscometric so its kinnda different adjusting to like non-iscometric
