Yeah, you guys are the reason I started Pixel!

Please give me as much constructive criticism as you can!

That way I can (hopefully) get decent.

Thanks

The outline is very rough. Here's a close up of just the outline-

There's many places where the line changes thickness, is crooked, or has sharp corners. I made a quick partial edit of just the bottom right corner to smooth out the outline-

It's not perfect and I rushed it a bit, but you can see that the line is cleaner and smoother. You can read about the basics of pixel art and common things to avoid here- LINK

also, it seems like your file isn't indexed right. There should only be 6 colors (3 shades of red, 1 of green, black, transparent) but instead there's more like 14.

apples usually aren't rounded on the bottom, there's an indentation. use references if you aren't. a darker red for shadows and a specular highlight would be good investment. The apple could possibly be smaller, as there are large blank fields right now and downsizing wouldn't mean a loss of information, but would make cleaning the outline easier.

Also where the stem goes in usually at the angle you are drawing it on there would be a slight indent. so you probably could get away with taking out the inside of the circle you have around it. if that doesnt look the best then try rounding just the back part so we have some sense of the indent

It's great for a first try, as Cure said I'm certain you could definitely downsize your picture. The trick is to try and jam as much stuff into a small area as possible! :-) Draw smaller smaller

you might want to start a little smaller, and have some kind of neutral background there for context. If you haven't already, read this!

a couple of little pixel apples, don't feel the need to work this tiny though:
