   Hi there.

This is the tread about the "HiScore Pixeleditor" for iPhone and iPod Touch. The main difference of this editor compared to others is, that you use a cursor to draw pixel-precise. It has also a fancy hot-color-picker, making drawing and working quite fast and easy.

	How much revenue does this sort of program generate for you, if you don't mind me asking? Pixel editors are for a pretty niche crowd who want to do it well, and for that they usually turn to a computer. That said, I don't know what kind of demand level exists at that niche level. The masses might find it novel, but don't iPhones already come with simple art apps? It seems like only the precision of a pixel program would make it a better alternative to them, when they aren't expecting to create something of quality. I'm curious about how this market works.

	Well, it is maybe a little too early to report about the demand levels of this market, but the first numbers confirm, what you just said. I think it is also totally clear, that a pixeleditor will never reach download-figures like the extremely popular Instagram (that is also based around a free app) or some other tools like Sketchbook Pro or Adobe Ideas. But anyway, I somehow felt myself, that there should be a pixel-editor like that and it's also a little bit a labour of love for me. And since I am already planning the next updates, just wait an see, in what direction the editor will develop. PS: The iPhone / iPod Touch does not come with a drawing tool on board. And most of the drawing apps just concentrate on finger drawing on the one side and photo-editing on the other.

	Oh, neat. Good that you're filling an unmet need. Even if it's not profitable, these kinds of projects are often useful stepping stones to bigger things. How many purchases have you gotten so far in this first week, and what kind of advertising have you put forth for it? The youtube video was a smart move, but where have you been posting it?
