I like the cave opening on the left and the large ship, I think they read well. The rest causes a bit of confusion for me. What exactly are the other (3 purple) light sources? I assume the smaller ship is making its way toward the opening, but it feels like it's going to hit right of it, in the darkness. the light pouring in from the cave opening could be utilized to define the rocks on the left a bit more, right now I'm a bit uncertain as to the dimensions and layout of the space. I think most of my confusion with the piece rests with the fact that the left side is pretty well defined, and I can discern the structure of the location, whereas the right side seems to turn into an indeterminate void with odd light sources that seem almost like abstractions, and don't do much to define the space through which the ships are flying.

Welcome back
I fully agree with cure but also know you layer colors in unorthodox ways so I will guess that you are working star clusters and nebulas from light to darks. Beyond seeing new work from you it is very nice to see that after such a long pixelling break your work is far more controlled and precise than I ever remember your work to be (excludes car stuff). |

Thank you so much, cure, for your points, I totally agree. I worked on the cave opening and started texturing the total darkness. The purple light sources could be some flares, I decided to change the nearest one a little bit.
Thank you, jal, for your greetings. Its always a pleasure to return to good friends. I had a long break and could not practice at all, so no precison gained Ironically Im missing the time when I messed around with color palettes and had little pixel expierience, these pieces turned out to be more convincing than my "color counting" pieces. ![]() |
