This is what I have been working on recently, this is Risky's character, Risky. I just want some opinion on what I have so far, also, I would like some help on the hair and shirt. Thank you for you time.

I honestly thought that this forum was meant to help people to improve their skills, but I guess I was wrong.

Or maybe no one has any suggestions or time to think of one. I looked at this yesterday, as did many others apparently, but didn't have anything to say. Sorry about that. :)

The hair looks pretty good on the tall sprite, but I think the short one has too much hair. There's actually as much hair as the entire rest of his body combined.

The shirt on the short sprite looks good to me, so I have nothing to suggest to do different.

oh no, no one payed me any attention for a whole day. cry moar. give it a couple days, it's not like we have 30 artists at standby just waiting to impart their knowledge upon you.

on the second: the light pixels on the edges of the jeans need to go. make the hair a bit lighter. work on medium grey rather than pure white, it tends to skew color choices. the scarf looks like it's being blown in two separate directions. maybe have it vary from 1up's style a little bit.

Okay that's something that I can work on, thanks, well the shirt shading is a main problem right now since the light source and texture style is uh... constantly awkward, what Im aiming is for some type of texture that shows that there is wind blowing, not just for the scarf, but for the loose shirt as well, also, cure, just because somebody doesn't help you on your work, doesn't mean you have to restrict yourself to help others.

I believe Cure was mocking you in the previous post... Getting criticisim is not a right, but a privilege. Cure was stating that Pixeljoint's artists are not here to serve you and provide you with help whenever you need it. It's best to be patient next time, instead of complaining.

Both your avatar and this reminds me of 1up's work. Infact, I thought you were him at first glance. Everything from the high contrasted knees to the relaxed pose.

It looks like you were trying to AA those jeans, but picked a lighter blue rather a darker one. You should definitely remove that.

Add ripples in the shirt, specifically the sleeves and bottom half, also move it a bit further back. Having the hair pushed backwards could also help in making the wind blowing more convincing.

Both ends of the scarf should be facing the same direction, looks awkward how you have it. (As though wind is blowing one side from the top, while the other is having wind blown from the bottom).

Keep it up.

Got rid of the bright AA on the jeans, Ire-made the scarf completely, and I tried giving the shirt some sort of shading, thought I think I failed at it.

To my eyes, the second one is largely an improvement. The shirt definitely looks better: smoother. The scarf on the other hand... Well, as an object it looks better. Smoother, and less flat. It doesn't quite scream "scarf" to me though. It's kind of fluffy like a fox tail. I think this is because of it's shape, and the perspective you drew it in. It seems to become narrower as it gets away from the neck. However, most scarves that I've seen have a constant width: they are very long rectangles.

Okay I tried something new with the scarf, not very proud of it, and now the main problem is shading it

I like the new scarf the best out of all of them. Shading flowy fabric just takes some study. I recommend just looking at some references to understand its movement. The shape of it will strongly dictate the way you need to shade it while taking into account the perspective where it gets thinner and thicker from folding. Your other shading looks fine and you're good on creating a light-source, so I don't think it will cause you as much trouble as it may for other people.
