This is my first post, and I need help to upgrade those drawings:

The first and third pieces don't really look like pixel art - they don't look like they have been created or edited at the pixel level -my advice is to
try making something much smaller to start with |

first piece- suffers from pillow shading and inconsistent lighting. you need to shade according to volumes rather than shapes, and use a fixed light source.
second piece- no horizon line, uncertain sense of space. not enough contrast between grass and sky. rope is too thick and too bright, and makes an unrealistic loop when it meets the tree rather than an actual knot. can't tell what's hanging from it or how. tree needs more contrast. third piece- arm on our left looks broken, arm on our right is foreshortened incorrectly. fingers are also too small for the palm and too far-spaced. not enough contrast in skin. also I agree with the above, working on a much smaller scale will be more beneficial for learning the fundamental technical aspects of pixel art |
