Are you using any references? If not, I recommend you do. It'll help to see what a real owl looks like as you work

As for what you have now - the shape of the body is very funky. it doesnt have any legs, and its body comes to an odd point on the bottom, when with a bird the body would be curving back down there. The shading is inconsistent - pick a light source and stick to it. Try making a little circle of 'light' off to the site to remind you where the light's coming from. Lastly, i wouldnt recommend using black for an outline, but that can be changed easily after the rest is done so dont worry much about that.
