Pixel Joint Forum: How much to charge?

   I have some questions about how much to charge people to work on their projects.
I was recently asked to work on a Game Boy DS game doing some pixel art and they wanted me to give an estimate. I literally have no idea how much to charge since this would be my first paying job. I would really appreciate some advice from those more experienced people. How much were you paid? I know it depends on how much I have to do, but some help on the ballpark range would be great.

	is it for a professional job, if so charge by hour, if its just a bit of freelancing then go with how much seems fair to you, mainly base it on time tho, if you spend 4 hours and get paid $100 then thats 25$ and hour. thats quite fair..... well it would be for me.
