But, this is my ongoing problem. I did a small amount of pixeling a year ago, learned how to shade, AA and other details. This would all be forgotten, being that I had A LOT of things I had to do (deaths in family, school, etc.)

Since it is summer and my brain has effectively gone to mush (otherwise I am smart). I read tutorials that the community has to offer, at Deviantart, and my internet is sometimes not fast enough to watch tutorials on Youtube, but yet I still do not grasp these concepts like I did before.

But to my main point, would someone be kind enough to be a mentor or tutor to me? Re-teach those techniques to me in a more user friendly approach. Can't really provide monetary payments (saving to upgrade computer!)

So... any help?
