Just came across an interesting game app on the iPad, it produces a mixed up colour ramp which you have to put in the correct order. Sounds a bit boring but it's quite addictive.....may even train my eye to produce some better colour ramps for my pixel art...I sure do need it!

Cambridge in Colour has a webpage with the same thing. You get 3 rows of 20-30 shades to order in the proper order.
