Hi All,

I'm currently working on a very simple game for the pc, but will potentially be porting to android if it is successful. This project is purely for my own amusement, so that I can finish making a game before moving onto other things, so the finished project will be available for download free of charge although I may charge for a mobile version if I decide to port it to android.

So far I have created a prototype of the core gameplay using free graphics from various websites, but now I would like to change all of the assets for the final version.

The gameplay is very simple: the player cannot attack in any way and must simply avoid all of the enemies whilst trying to obtain an item from a high platform.

Here is a screenshot from my prototype:

So far I have not 100% comitted to an exact style, but I would like to use smaller assets in the finished version (the prototype uses 32x32 tiles and I would like to use 16x16) and I would like to us a very 8-bit looking art style. The following are examples of games where I like the art style:

At the moment I have no concept of what the player should look like - at the moment he is an ugly grey guy I found on the internet! All I know is that I want him to be human, have no weapons, and be 16x32 pixels. Ideally I would like suggestions for a character for my game.

As I've said previously, I am not expecting to make any money out of this game, so the budget is not going to be massive. Ideally I would like to spend no more than $100 for all of the assets.

So far my game has 10 static tiles, 5 non-animated sprites and 6 animated sprites (including the player). If all of these assets can't be done for this price I would be willing to negotiate or agree on a subset of the work to be completed.

You can contact me at the following email address: games[AT]fig14[DOT]com. My website is http://www.fig14.com/ although there is nothing relevant to this project there!

Thanks,

Steve
