Just for fun I'm working on a piece based off a painting I got at a thrift store. Very early in the project. Although C&C is appreciated, it is very early and everything is subject to change. I'm working in layers so I can reposition and resize things later (which will be useful as my trees are a little big at the moment)

Just sharing this WIP

This looks awesome, the contrast between the background and the foreground is extreme, but I like it.

I would imagine that the contrast is so large because it's still very early in design.

Aside from that, it looks great. I can't really comment on the overall quality of this until you finish it or at least show more progress. But the one thing I can say for sure, is I absolutely love your background so far!

I'm working darkest to lightest... so the contrast will be pretty extreme at the moment. Still trying to decide where I want to go with the design on these trees. Here's a small update to give you an idea of the whole contrast thing...

A little bit more on the tree... gonna do the entire tree like this and then look back and adjust it.
