Hello pepple, i don't know how many know me, but i need a serious problem, i want improve my skills, i see how "pro-pixelist" made, but i don't know how my concept or my works looks rugged, messy and other..
This morning i start with a little idea, create sprite with very low colors, just practice no others.. This is my wip; For the first, i've chosen a very simply style, and i think isn't bad.. (I THINK XD) but the second one.. make me confused.. at normal view the sprite looks very chaotic and rought.. but; ![]() If i see on 1000% i can see the little details and i don't think is bad, i like it.. but at normal view it sucks.. what happen? please help me =< i don't know |

Don't be silly, I'm sure many know your work here. You are a good one and have a great gallery.
I think its a matter of colors only in this case because both look well pixelled and defined to me even at 1X. Tho I think if you shift all highlughts right or left a pixel it may help better define the musculature. |

I've always loved 4 color sprites like the green one. Very detailed with exaggerated anatomy makes me a happy man. I personally like both a lot though I do sort of see what you mean about it being a little too busy.

They are both great!
If you want greeny to look more cleaned up, remove some of the dark outlines maybe? See middle one ![]() I got carried away so I made also a more extreme edit on the right Edited by Hapiel - 15 July 2013 at 12:14am |
