Scratch is a drag and drop, syntax free programing environment that kids as young as 6 use. You can make games, animate your sprites, all kinds of stuff. Is free, and you can host and share your projects online for free also at the Scratch website or on any page you like via applet.
I'm considering making an app that would read a black sprite outline, like for text, and rotate it 3D style. Note: Scratch 2.0 is currently beta. Use the older 1.4 version if you need more stability for now. Stealing McDonald's bandwidth at the moment, big balling on a budget. blink blink Edited by ZacRay - 08 October 2013 at 3:02pm |

Forgot to mention, I'm currently finishing up a Breakout game, 1/3rd of the way through a Space Invaders game, and just started on a platformer starring a wizard named Gygax. I'm using DB's 16 color general purpose palette.
I'll post shots soon. In the meantime, if anyone wants to see Scratch in action, post a reply with a link to a mockup or tileset you've done and I'll make a working game screen out of it; even if it is just to run the sprite around the screen and shoot spells at randomly appearing creatures, or something.
